Duopoly
Catherine Tait is a founding partner of iThentic.com, an online content company based in New York City and Toronto. iThentic was named Digital Company of the Year in 2012 by Playback Magazine and won the Banff Rockie Award for Best Web Fiction and the DigiAward for Best Web Series for its interactive thriller Guidestones which premiered in the US on HULU. Tait is also president of Duopoly, an independent production and sales company whose projects include the feature documentary Occupy Love (Velcrow Ripper) currently on the festival circuit; Lucky (Jeff Blitz) which premiered at Sundance and sold to HBO; the long-running animation series, ,i>Chilly Beach and Yam Roll for the CBC; a live action comedy series about video-gamers, Pure Pwnage, based on the global Internet hit of the same name; and several original web series including Papillon, starring Kevin McDonald (Kids In The Hall) for BITE TV. In addition to producing, Duopoly distributes over 300 episodes of television and web series on Hulu. Tait is also a co-founder and Director of Hollywood Suite, a broadcasting venture in Canada which operates 4 movie channels.
