Fanlala

Alan is responsible for the company direction and strategy for Fanlala.com, the popular go-to social entertainment and lifestyle site for tweens and teens, which also offers a subscription based family-friendly streaming music service. Fanlala also recently announced the opening of its Santa Monica-based production facility, which is focused on creating original web-based series for the tween audience.

Prior to Fanlala, Alan was president and CEO of Imbee.com, a COPPA compliant Facebook-like social networking site for kids and tweens. In late 2011 he facilitated the merger between Imbee and Fanlala and combined the two to create a fresh new community for tweens, which now boasts an average of more than 150,000 unique visitors per month.

Alan also spent more than 20 years as a senior executive at several high-profile technology companies, including Oracle, Sybase, OpenVision, Quntus and recently was a founder and CEO of ITERO Energy. Alan has invested, founded and advised a number of companies in the software, consulting and clean energy businesses. He began his career as a software engineer at AT&T and Bell Labs.
