Living in Digital Times
Robin Raskin has spent the past 30 years exploring what it means to be living in digital times. An author, editor, magazine publisher, blogger, TV and radio personality, and consultant, Raskin says she's never met a media she doesn't like, and is happiest when she's writing about technology's second citizens: kids, seniors or women. Raskin is the former editor of PC Magazine and Editor in Chief of FamilyPC.
She served as a Vice President at Ziff Davis Publishing and was part of the startup team at Yahoo! Tech. She's been a columnist for USA Today Online and has authored 6 books about parenting in the digital age.
Today, her company, Living in Digital Times, partners with CES (The Consumer Electronics Association) to produce 10 different conferences and events geared towards life in the digital world. They include: Kids@Play, MommyTech, Silvers Summit, Digital Health, TransformingEdu, FashionWare and Sports and Fitness Tech. She also produces The Last Gadget Standing and The Mobile Apps Showdown -- two of the most popular contests at CES and serves on the CEA Foundation.
Her first article "How I Learned About Computers to Save our Marriage" published in Infoworld in 1980 kicked off a career in technology. She lives with the same geeky husband, three grown (but visiting children) and a lot of obsolete equipment in NYC and in the Hudson
